Round table was organized within 11th International Conference on Dependable Systems, Services and Technologies DESSERT 2020

On Saturday, May 16 a round table was organized within 11th International Conference on Dependable Systems, Services and Technologies DESSERT 2020. This year, DESSERT’2020 was addressed the main dependability challenges related to the IoT, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for a Safe & Secure World and Industry 4.0.
The round table was the final event of the extensive three-day program passed under the moderation of the general chair Prof. V. Kharchenko and co-chair Prof. A. Rucinski. From the NAS PIMEE side, the speaker of the event was Prof. Inna Skarga-Bandurova. She opened a round table with the talk on the pitfalls of big data and AI in the era of big disease. Further, according to the program of the event, Prof. Todor Tagarev made a presentation about the understanding and countering hybrid influence: What scientists can do to support policy-making? The third speaker was Dr Thaddeus Paul Kochanski. He spoke about issues of global trust and dependability of technology in the pandemic age. During the discussion, the roundtable participants noted the great interest in further cooperation in new circumstances and outlined further steps for cooperation.
