Prticipation in the 23rd International Sealing Conference

The conference took place on September 30 and October 1, 2026, at the Filderhalle conference center (Leinfelden-Echterdingen) under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Bauer from the Institute of Machine Components (IMA) at the University of Stuttgart.

Conference theme: Sealing for the Future — Meeting Tomorrow’s Challenges.

Most industrial products rely heavily on sealing systems. Driven by the growing demand for energy-efficient, eco-friendly, and cost-effective products, as well as by technological trends (such as Industry 4.0/IoT and electromobility), the sealing technology sector and its research community are facing new challenges. By addressing these challenges, sealing technology plays a crucial role in the development of advanced products through a combination of time-tested, state-of-the-art, and innovative solutions.

The aim of this conference is to present and discuss research and development findings as well as practical user experiences, thereby fostering knowledge exchange.

Serhii Shevchenko, a leading researcher at the Pukhov Institute for Modelling in Energy Engineering (IPME), delivered a presentation at the conference:
